Long-running mass-start mountain bike race in the northern Wisconsin woods between Hayward and Cable. The Chequamegon 40 uses the Birkie ski trail, forest roads and snowmobile routes; the Short & Fat covers 16 miles. Entry opens via registration or lottery, with early access for Life Time members.

DerbyFest — Tas Gravity Enduro

A community mountain-bike festival at Blue Derby built around a public enduro round of timed stages across the trail network, with a non-competitive Come & Try category alongside the graded fields. A downhill time trial and a billycart race run the same weekend. This is the one anyone can enter, as distinct from the professional World Cup rounds Derby has hosted.
