When
Mid-August, annually — entry by lottery each December

163 km
Climbing
3,017 m

An out-and-back between Leadville and Twin Lakes entirely above 9,200 feet, topping out at 12,600 on the Columbine Mine climb. Entry is by lottery, and finishing inside the cutoff earns the belt buckle the race is built around.

The organiser hasn’t published the next date yet, so we’re showing when it normally runs rather than guessing. The official site will have it first.

Checked against the organiser’s official site on 5 September 2026. Dates, routes and entry conditions change — confirm on the official site before booking flights or accommodation. We are not the organiser and take no entries.
